The attached documents show the components required for completing the Level B assessment in EDUC- 622 Psychoeducational Assessment instructed by Melanie Raymond. This artifact includes the scoring booklet, response booklet, permission form and the self-reflection after completing the assessment which focuses on what I found to be my own strengths and challenges while administering and scoring the tests. Included as well are how the individual scored and the findings based on this.

I have included the WIAT-4 as one of the artifacts of my practice. While administering Level B assessments are not within the scope of my current practice as a classroom teacher, administering, scoring and interrupting the information provided by this type of assessment would be if I were to move into a role as a resource teacher, which is where I hope to be upon completion of this program. However, since completing this course and going through the process of understanding this type of assessment it has been relevant to my practice in terms of understanding what this type of assessment means for my students who have undergone it and what we can do moving forward to best support them.

Though I found this assessment and course to be both challenging and eyeopening, I believe that this course has given me the means to better support my students and my practice within the scope of being a classroom teacher. This course was a pivotal part of the program, for me at least. Although I faced several challenges early on, particularly with figuring out how the assessment worked and identifying where I was going wrong, the guidance of Melanie and the support of my colleagues helped me work  through each step. The challenges I faced ultimately reinforced the value of collaborating with others and adjusting my approach when things aren’t working.  These insights can inform my teaching practice and can contribute to my growth as an educator. What began as a learning curve became an opportunity of meaningful development, and now I feel confident in my ability to complete this assessment successfully.
